Corbyn kicks off in Salford

24 Jul

The Lowry Hall, Salford, where on Saturday Jeremy launched his campaign for a leadership he should not, ten months after securing the biggest mandate in the Party’s history, have had to defend. Labour now has more members – half a million – than all other parties put together. The forty-eight hours prior to deadline for voting eligibility saw 180,000 new members, more than the entire Tory Party membership, despite – or as blowback from? – the shabby £25 trick.

Speakers included one dignified, courteous and steely man who’s lit a fire across Britain.
