Snapped on Tuesday, on a day trip to Brancaster, east of Sandringham on the southern coast of the Wash. I can photograph terns any day of the week at Attenborough, a ten minute stroll from my door. But Norfolk’s a favourite county. It was good to go further afield. And I really do need to raise my game on photographing birds in flight.
That ‘black’ head terns out, on closer inspection, to be chocolate brown. And how gullible am I? The black head tern terns out to be not a tern but a gull.
