Today, with dear friend Sue. We took trains, she from Sheffield, I from Beeston, to meet at the cafe in the park, Matlock. From there we walked the left bank of the Derwent upstream for a mile before swinging west into the hills.
The day was hot and I decided against bringing Jasper. Forecast showers never materialised.
Gorgeous day. Thanks Sue x

Memories of heady days. For lunch, Hartington white stilton, crisp apple and fresh bread- perfect .
Sounds good Jon. My lunch was a souped up ratatouille (celery, raisins and capers added to the usual mix) with grated cheese and half a baked spud – all from the day before’s evening repast.
Speaking of Hartington, Sue and I were not a million miles of there, a tad further down the Dove, at start of this year …
Lovely photographs, such beautiful scenery.
