Palestine Action, a peaceful direct action group in the UK, was on July 2 proscribed as a terrorist organisation. Consequences? One, those who in its name enter premises which for profit enable mass murder in Palestine, to disrupt the same with sledgehammers and superglue, will now be charged not with criminal trespass and unlawful damage but terrorist conspiracy, with the very real prospect of a fourteen year prison stretch.

Meanwhile the moral and intellectual midgets politicians who made it so still speak of “Israel’s right to defend itself”.
I guess this footage, captured by Reuters yesterday on the illegally occupied and settled West Bank – and barely registering as a flicker against the enormity of the world’s first live-streamed genocide – is what Starmer, Reeves, Cooper et al had in mind. Ditto the spineless hundreds who voted with this most despised of governments to expand the legal definition of terrorism to take in non violent disruption of crimes against humanity. 2

- My contempt for those Labour backbenchers is hardly less than that for Starmer and Ms Cooper. Some now wring hands and say they would not have so voted had she not, while home secretary, bundled Palestine Action with Maniacs Murder Cult and Russian Imperial Movement. As a measure of Cooper’s dishonesty, addressed in my post of August 21, this has traction. As an excuse for reluctant compliance it’s beyond pathetic. Why did they not demand Palestine Action’s removal from the list, on pain of a “no” vote on all three?
